What's in my bag... BEACH edition!

And we have hit the 4 day mark! Yesterday was so fun with our outfits, I thought today would be great to go over beach bag essentials!

Most important, the bag! This is the exact Scout I have and it is perfect for a day of fun in the sun!

A striped towel is so cute.

And sunscreen is a must! The Carolina sun is so hot.

To keep cool, a coozie around an ice cold Coke is great!

And sunglasses are never forgotten! For me and Coy!

And I love a cute Vineyard Vines croakie.

And some EOS lip balm to keep your lips shiny for a picture!

Beach Wear!

While thinking about vacation, we're on the countdown... 5 days, I decided to get some fun posts together. I put together some style bards on Polyvore and decided to share!

This is the ocean day outfit. A cute coverup, great suit, pretty flops, and a hat are a must. This is a great look. Below this board, I have added a few pics of another suit I'll be taking and a hat and flops to go with it.

I absolutely love this new suit from Old Navy. It's great. And fits so well.

And this dress as a coverup is perfect. It's light and cute. Great to thrown on to grab lunch!

And a hat is always needed. My forehead burns too quickly. 

And these simple flip flops are perfect.

The next 2 boards would be great to wear while shopping with the girls while the guys are doing their own thing! Comfy and classic!

This would be great for dinner out and then a walk on the ocean!

This outfit has date night written all over it. 

And because you can't leave the husband out: classic night to dinner with family followed by a walk on the beach or pier!

And a great outfit for date night.

Summer time!!!

Well hey y'all. Just a quick post on this Sunday with a recipe. Then I'll be back tomorrow and a few days this week with posts leading up to the beach vacation. 

Coy and I were down in Cherry Grove for a few days with friends the past few days. We leave on Saturday again for a week of fun time with my family on Saturday. 

We walked down to the pier one night. 

Then walked out on the ocean for a bit. The moon was beautiful!

The next day we went on the beach. We were rained off, but there was a beautiful rainbow after terrain storm.

On the way home yesterday, I discovered a new snack favorite. A little sweet with salty!

And on the way home, we stopped at The Sundae House to get my favorite college meal. Still so delicious! Philly cheese steak.

Once we got home, the in-laws brought over some farmers market veggies. I threw together a summer salad and put in the fridge to let the favors blend for dinner.

I forgot to take pics in the beginning, but you'll get the gist of it.

Start with cucumbers, tomatoes, a little salt, pepper, a sprinkling of sugar, a splash of red wine vinegar, and 1/4 cup of basalmic vinegar. Mix together and keep in fridge at least 4 hours to let flavors develop. Before serving, chop some fresh basil and sprinkle on top. 

What more could you want in the summer? A fresh salad on a pretty Waverly plate!

I got some new plastic cups while at the beach also. They're the perfect size.

Happy Friday! Friday Favorites with Abby from Jack's, Curls, and Pearls!

1. Date Night Tonight!

Going to dinner and a movie with my hubby. Vince Vaughn is one of my favorite actors, and when he and Owen Wilson get together, I laugh uncontrollably. Like, I am the one in the theater laughing out loud and everyone is trying to figure out what is so funny. Can't wait!

 

2. Tomorrow is YARD SALE DAY!

Finally getting rid of useless junk I have been saving for who knows what!





3. Spending Saturday evening trying to convince doing a makeup demo on my sisters for the blog. It is going to be fun. One will be a work look to night out look. The other will be school to date night.



4. Spending time relaxing on Sunday afternoon, hopefully watching a Hallmark movie. They may be corny, but I love a good love story and usually cry!



Strawberry Summer... came on last year, it will be on this weekend.


5. Summer Time Manicures

Rainy day Wednesday outfit. Blue maxi, chambray shirt, and a bangle stack.

Side view of the dress. I love a maxi that goes to the floor. Anything tied up at the waist and you can make a sorta-train on your dress. Instantly take yourself back to your wedding day and feel super special!

Arm candy. Rose gold watch, pearl bracelet, toile bracelet. Love my hot pink mani. 

Cute day at work with my littlest sister. Very stylish. Peplum dress and cotton blazer. 

Love my new entertainment center in the living room. Blue is my favorite color right now so it just fit. The living room is slowly coming together and will do a full post soon!

On another side of the living room. Loving the orange and anything bright in the new house!

And just because I can't resist the new Waverly china, a snippet of our dinner tonight. Homemade chicken pot pie. Delish! Recipe soon. 

 I'm hoping to do a natural makeup tutorial this weekend if I can find a model, that means you will see an up close of a sister! Maybe both!
